Slack Alerts help you and your team stay on top of your funnel activity without needing to log in or dig through dashboards. With just a few clicks, you can set up smart alerts that notify the right people on Slack when specific events happen in your funnel—like leads stalling, progressing, or even dropping out.
What Are Slack Alerts?
Slack Alerts are automated messages triggered by lead, account, or opportunity activity. They’re fully customizable, so you get exactly the notifications you care about—delivered straight to your team’s Slack channel/ inbox.
Whether you’re monitoring stagnant leads, stage progression, funnel drop-offs, or custom triggers, this feature ensures no opportunity slips through the cracks.
How can you use Slack Alerts?
Catch Leads That Stall (Stagnation Alerts)
Get notified when leads are spending more time than expected in a funnel stage. This helps your team take quick action before interest cools off.
Celebrate Progress (Progression Alerts)
Get real-time alerts when a lead or opportunity moves forward in the funnel. It’s a great way to celebrate wins—or plan timely next steps.
Track New Funnel Entries (Creation Alerts)
Be instantly aware when new leads enter the funnel. Perfect for SDRs or marketers tracking campaign effectiveness.
Spot Drop-Offs (Leakage Alerts)
Know exactly when and where leads fall out of the funnel, so you can investigate and fix friction points.
Customize with Rules (Rule-Based Alerts)
Set up specific criteria—for example, alert me when a lead’s status becomes “hand raiser.” Total flexibility, tailored to your workflow.
How to Set Up a Slack Alert
Setting up a Slack Alert is easy. It takes just a few steps:
1. Choose the Type of Alert
Pick from:
Stagnation: When Lead/Account/Opportunities spend more time than they should in a funnel stage
Progression: When a Lead/Account/Opportunity has progressed to a stage
Creation: When Lead/Account/Opportunity gets added to a funnel stage
Leakage: When Lead/Account/Opportunity drops from your funnel
Rule-based: Use custom rules e.g,. when opportunity status = "handraiser”
Each one is tailored to a specific funnel behaviour.
2. Set the Condition
Specify the trigger condition. For example:
“Alert me when a Visitor becomes a Lead”
“Alert me when leads spend 10+ days in MQL”
3. Pick the Receiver
Choose who gets notified. You can send it to:
Individual lead/account owners
Slack channels or user groups
4. Set the Frequency
Decide how often you want the alert:
Every time data syncs
At a specific time (daily, weekly, or monthly)
You can even set repetition rules, like getting reminded again after a few days if no action is taken.
5. Review & Create
Double-check your summary screen, hit Create, and you’re all set. The alert will start running at your defined schedule.
Managing Your Alerts
Once created, all your Slack alerts appear in the Smart Alerts Dashboard, where you can:

Edit or disable alerts
See who created or receives them
